The Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin has evaluated the effectiveness of on-site drug checking using our QTests. Their assessment confirmed that mobile analysis combined with professional counseling is an effective harm reduction strategy. 

Before approval for the ALIVE drug checking program, the government of Thuringia rigorously verified the accuracy of our QTests. This state-level authorization confirms our tools meet strict public safety standards. We have been operating under this mandate since 2021.

All QTests are voluntarily validated according to ICH Q2(R1) — the international pharmaceutical guideline used to ensure safe dosing of active ingredients in human medicine. This is the same standard applied to drugs in pharmacies.

Every QTest is developed over years of laboratory work and continuously compared against HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) analysis — the gold standard in analytical chemistry.

Imperial College London, universities in New Zealand and Australia, and Friedrich Schiller University Jena use QTests as part of their research on psychoactive substances. In collaboration with Charité Berlin, our tools power a community-driven study on psilocybin variability and the entourage effect in psychedelic mushrooms.

QTests form the backbone of Germany's first state-authorized mobile drug checking — the ALIVE project in Thuringia, running since 2021. Our tools are also used by drug checking entities in Ulm, Kiel, and Jena, as well as programs in Switzerland.
